Our founder, Cindy Chenier started Health Education & Humor Expo (HeHe) to promote genetic testing as part of a proactive approach to individual health care. HeHe provides information and support for all people impacted by a stroke, heart disease and any other inherited conditions. At age 47, in otherwise in perfect health, Cindy nearly lost her life due to a debilitating stroke caused by congenital protein C deficiency. This is a rare inherited condition associated with an elevated risk of blood clots and cardiovascular complications. This changing event inspired Ms. Chenier not only to share her story and encourage others to take an active role in their healthcare as well as get comprehensive genetic screening.
